Amazing Grace: A Glove Story  is a zine that comes from my interest in collections and archives. As with much of my work, I search for themes and patterns found "in the wild" and winter is always rife with lost gloves.

 

Using the lyrics to the well-known hymn Amazing Grace may help you reflect while viewing the gloves:

Who lost them?

What are their naked hands wearing now?

Are they shoved in a pocket or wearing mismatched covers?

And what do the gloves think, being trod upon, forgotten, lost to the puddles of spring thaw?
